I've read in one Steam Guide, that the achievement requires a 200k population to complete it and that was all that was said about it. So if you want to take option 1, let me know, as it's much faster.Įducation nation is tough also the one about having your campus covered by tution costs is hard to and i think its semi broken or triggers in different ways cause i accomplished the latter and it didnt trigger and some older threads said it was partially bugged so i am interested in your help The first way is going to take an immense amount of time to prepare for it. There are two ways you can complete that goal. I'm still using that game save and I've had no prroblem with compatibility at all. I obviously own all the DLC's and many of my achievements were completed with the one game save, that was started in my first year of playing the game, which was long before most of the DLC's were released. In regard to save games and DLC's, you can continue with your existing save games after purchasing a new DLC. There are many others that will take some time to get as well, but the good news is, there are plenty of tough achievements you can get while chasing the worst of them. The 'Education Nation' goal, in the Campus DLC, is also going to be time consuming. There are several achievements in the Natural Disasters DLC, that are long term projects. There are no broken achievements in Cities Skylines fortunately, but the time required to complete some of these, might make you end up wishing they were broken instead. There are a # of dreaded tasks, that are time consuming and/or difficult to complete, but complete them you can if you persist. It took me roughly 5 years to complete them. I have recently completed all the achievements in Cities Skylines. Originally posted by Holysword:Why are there achievements with 0.3%? Are they super hard, or just so specific that people don't bother building up to get them? Is any of them bugged? Also, theoretically, you can have multiple New Users. If you happen to get the Disaster in the background session, just go online with it and the achievement should register. However, in that case you'll be sharing your GPU with 2 instances of Cities Skylines which may lead to performance issues (background Xsessions don't render anything, so you spare some of your flops here). You don't even NEED to have it in a different Xsession (you could also grant permissions to share display via xhost). The New User's session will be simply running in the background. go back to the Main User's Xsession and play Cities Skylines normally start Cities Skylines with New User and let it idling for the Chirpnado. change to the New User's Xsession, start up Steam and then go Offline now both users have access to the same game files! start Steam with New User and change Steam Library Path to the "public" directory as well create a New User and log into in a different Xsession have your Main User with your Main Steam Account point Steam Library Path to some "public" directory Okay, for those interested in farming the rare achievement "What the." (requires having a Chirpnado, a very rare disaster with 0.3% chance of occurence) I might have a trick to speed things up a little *if you use Linux* "Education Nation": hardest, use this guide: "I want all": much easier if you disable all DLCs, see save add a prop save again with a new name create a scenario with easy win/lose conditions "Creator", "We have a winner" and "The Underdog": "1001 Nights": requires about 4 days idling on an empty map with day/nicht cycle on leave this for last "What the.": very random, requires idling. gratz, you got a starting map with 9 tiles, everything unlocked and buckets of money to unlock achievements save, bulldoze everything, save again as your "New Starting Map" get buckets of money (I stopped at 9mil, some people go as far as 50mil) go for full Industry DLC with unique Factories. create a custom map with lots of ore/oil e.g. some achievments can be bugged, so save constantly most achievements are trivial, but mods disable them (that's why some have 0.1% completion) your old savegame works with a newly bought DLC Why are there achievements with 0.3%? Are they super hard, or just so specific that people don't bother building up to get them? Is any of them bugged?Ībout DLCs: if I buy a new DLC, can I use my old savegames and just "add" the new stuff from the DLC, or do I have to start a new savegame from the scratch?
